Seafarer

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned duties onboard the vessel in accordance with company policies, vessel procedures, and applicable maritime regulations.
• Assist with bunkering operations, including preparation, hose handling, connection, disconnection, and related activities as instructed.
• Assist with mooring and unmooring operations and other deck activities.
• Assist with the operation, monitoring, and routine maintenance of vessel machinery and equipment.
• Carry out basic maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and servicing of engines, pumps, generators, valves, pipelines, and other machinery as instructed.
• Monitor machinery and equipment during operations and report any defects, leaks, unusual sounds, vibrations, or other abnormalities to the relevant officer.
• Assist the engineering team with machinery breakdowns, repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain and monitor the cleanliness and good housekeeping of the engine room, deck, machinery spaces, and operational areas.
• Assist with fuel, lubricating oil, and other machinery-related operations as required.
• Maintain and properly use vessel tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Assist with cargo and fuel-handling operations as required.
• Follow all safety, security, and environmental procedures during onboard operations.
• Participate in emergency drills and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
• Report safety hazards, spills, equipment defects, operational issues, or incidents to the relevant officer or supervisor.
• Maintain proper records and assist with operational and maintenance documentation when required.
• Work closely with the Master, officers, engineers, and shore-based operations team to ensure smooth vessel operations.
• Ensure all assigned duties are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Master, Chief Engineer, or relevant management personnel.

Requirements

• Relevant maritime qualifications and training.
• Valid STCW certification and other mandatory seafarer certificates.
• Valid seafarer medical fitness certificate.
• Valid Seafarer Identification Document / Seaman Book.
• Previous experience onboard commercial vessels, bunker tankers, or similar vessels will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of deck operations, bunkering procedures, marine machinery, and maritime safety practices.
• Basic knowledge of machinery maintenance, lubrication, and mechanical repairs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a disciplined and safety-conscious environment.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible hours and shifts as required.
• Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and commitment to safety.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior officers and supervisors.
